Shoes History

Marikina is the shoe capital of the Philippines . For the greater part of the 20th century, Marikina was the biggest manufacturer of quality shoes. By 1983, Marikina produced 70 percent of the shoe production of the Philippines which was estimated at 30 million pairs.

Men Shoes

In the days of ancient Greece, aristocratic women owned as many as twenty pairs of shoes, with a style to match every occasion. Slaves were employed solely to carry a supply of their lady's shoes when she left home, assuring that she would be appropriately shod throughout her travels. It was the first pair of Jordan shoes that showed a visible air sole. The designer behind this innovation was Tinker Hatfield who designed every Air Jordan model up to the 15th.

In the sixteenth century, aristocratic French women began wearing high-heeled shoes so steep that the well-heeled wearer was literally standing on her toes when she wore them. Later, stilt like wooden platform shoes became the rage in Venice. The heels eventually became so high that women could not walk in them, and servants were hired to help the ladies in and out of their gondolas. The fashion reportedly owed much to the Venetian husband's desire to make sure his wife didn't travel far while he was away, the same concern that motivated the Chinese to bind their women's feet.

Although embryo freezing is not new ,it is now being widely used .Embryos are created in laboratories(test tube). While some are transferred to the mother,a few others are stored at freezing temperatures. It was this kind of 14-embryo sample that the Israeli couple brought to Mumbai in two batches of seven each.Apart from fee,the couple paid the surrogate mother's rent and medical bills.

It is not difficult to understand why they chose Mumbai."Quite apart from the warmth the hospitals here are as good if not better than our hospitals",said Dolat.
